3 dates in the UK sounded pretty good when they were first announced, but when it turned out they were ALL in London I had to get a little annoyed. When you think of how much more popular (and controversial, sadly) she has been in this country (and others) ever since Red was released (still not sure how I feel about that), to only propose tickets for one town is unbelievable. Yes, I know London is the capital and all, but there is more to Britain than London! So much more! It's not even central locationwise, so for the majority of the UK it would be incredibly awkward and expensive to get there! Obviously I'm extremely grateful that she's coming to my country, but some more spread out dates would be so much more considerate. What's even more annoying is that we don't know if any more dates - at other, much closer locations - would be released, meaning to get the tickets would be a complete gamble.
Luckily, we decided to take the gamble...
And it paid off! My friend got the tickets on O2 priority, which feels incredible to know that they're not on sale generally until tomorrow (Friday) at 9am, but we already have some safe. Yes, we will have to travel a total of more than 300 miles to get there (and that doesn't count the return trip!), and will be forced to spend the weekend in London (what a shame) which will obviously be expensive, but I couldn't be happier of the prospect of finally being in the same room as the singer I have looked up to for so long. Literally could not stop smiling when I found out.
We're going on the 1st Februrary, so let me know if you'll be there too. Exciting!!!!!
